Position Summary:
We’re seeking an organized and proactive individual to assist our purchasing department in managing vendor relationships, tracking orders, and ensuring the timely delivery of electrical components and materials. This role is ideal for someone with a strong administrative background and an interest in supply chain processes within a technical or construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the purchasing department with day-to-day procurement activities
- Prepare purchase orders and maintain purchasing records
- Communicate with suppliers to track shipments, confirm lead times, and resolve issues
- Maintain inventory data and monitor stock levels
- Coordinate with internal departments (warehouse, project management, accounting)
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures
- Provide general administrative support to the purchasing team
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of administrative or purchasing experience, preferably in the electrical or construction field
- Knowledge of electrical parts and materials is a strong asset
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
